That UCLA team that just couldn't get untracked in Virginia last week hosts a Memphis team which is pretty full of their oats after scoring the second-largest victory (by margin) of week one. There's some mildly interesting games on late-night as well. The early evening slate includes the titanic tussle between Michigan State and Oregon, a Carolina battle between East and South which is suddenly a lot more interesting after what happened to the Gamecocks last week, the BYU-Texas rematch, the Smug Bowl in South Bend between the Irish and Michigan, and finally Virginia Tech-Ohio State in the 7pm slot. The 2/2:30pm slot has one big game - USC/Stanford - and a few interesting bits of #MACtion where the MAC teams in question are all perfectly capable of scoring wins over Power 5 squads. Missouri-Toledo is another potentially interesting matchup. Here in Bring on the Cats-land, obviously, all eyes will be on Fox Sports 1 in the early window, and we'll probably have half an eye on the McNeese State-Nebraska game just to see if Daniel Sams gets meaningful action. Is UTSA's defense for real? We'll find out, and we're also treated to the season's first Division II Game of the Week - and second Division II game, period - on CBS Sports Network.įriday night provides a pair of FBS games, one on each coast(ish), before we get into the usual massive slate of Saturday action.
